For cotton seed oil extraction processing, there are two main extraction methods:
1.Pretreatment - Pressing - Solvent Extraction
2.Pretreatment - Solvent Extraction
Different extraction methods use different cottonseed oil extraction equipment, so what equipment is needed? This article will give you the answer.
1.Pretreatment - Pressing - Solvent Extraction
cleaning, shelling, shell kernel separation, flaking, steaming and cooking, pressing, and leaching of pressed cakes in the leaching workshop.
Pretreatment - solvent extraction method
This method has a relatively low residual oil rate and is widely used in oil extraction. The pretreatment stage is the same as the pressing process. For the solvent extraction, there are mainly 4 steps:
1.Cottonseed solvent extraction part:
Using N-hexane to react with oil seeds or cake, in order to extract more oil out, after the cotton seed oil solvent extraction method, you will get two parts: first is the mixture of solvents and oil called miscella oil; then is the mixture of solvents and meal called wet meal.
2.Wet meal DTDC system:
DTDC means desolventizer, toaster, dryer and cooler, which is mainly used to separate the solvents from the wet meal, then the dried meal will be sent to meal silo for storage.
3.Miscella oil treatment part
Since miscella oil contains solvents, we need to separate the solvents from the crude cottonseed oil by first evaporation, second evaporation and stripping tower, then we can condensate the oil and pump it into crude oil tank, and you can choose to sell the crude oil to refinery factory or you can add a cottonseed oil refinery plant by yourself.
4.Solvents recovery part:
Usually producing one ton crude cottonseed oil through the cottonseed oil solvent extraction method needs around 4kg solvents. Considering of cost-effectives and environmental protection, we add this system to recycle the solvents by condensing it and collecting it for reuse.
So what equipment is needed? If your processing capacity is small and the budget is limited, it is recommended that you choose the pretreatment pressing method. The required equipment includes: cleaning equipment, shelling machine, kernel shell separation equipment, roaster, oil press, filter, etc.. The solvent extraction method is suitable for cottonseed oil extraction projects with a large amount of raw materials and high investment. In addition to pressing equipment, we also need to use solvent extraction equipment.
